Petros' Letter

You awake in your bed. It’s still dark out, but you’ve grown used to rising early—keeping your cupboards stocked is a full-time job in Chernarus these days. You slip on your worn boots, ready to head out, when you notice something unusual: a letter. It lies on your doorstep, unaddressed.

You take it inside, to your bare kitchen table, illuminated by a dim roof light, and begin reading:

Comrade,

Our homeland bleeds. Once free villages now stand under the boots of the German Bundeswehr. Their convoys crawl through our roads, their checkpoints choke every crossing. And as if that were not enough, the Russians exploit the chaos, carving deeper wounds into our soil. Two armies, both foreign, both uninvited, both hungry for what is ours.

Yet not all is lost. A flame still burns in the hills and forests. Whispers of resistance spread through the taverns, through the farms, through the ruined towns. And at the heart of it all stands Petros, who calls for brave souls to rise, to fight, to strike from the shadows and melt away again.

This war cannot be won through strength of arms alone—we are outnumbered and outgunned. But we know this land. We know its back roads, its hidden caches, its people. With cunning, patience, and courage we can bleed them dry. We salvage what weapons we can. We wear their uniforms to walk among them, faceless, unseen. We strike when they least expect it, and vanish into the trees before their steel can catch us. Every road ambush, every stolen rifle, every successful hit-and-run weakens their grip and strengthens ours.

Make no mistake: it will be hard. You will need to scavenge, to improvise, to risk everything for the smallest victories. But each victory grows the flame of freedom brighter. Together, we will drive them from our home.

The resistance needs you.

Sunday at 1800
Saturday at 1800, we gather. Do not be late. The fight for Chernarus begins now.

The paper trembles slightly as you fold it away. Outside, engines murmur in the distance. You know what must come next.
